  • As with all products, each individual has their own experiences. As an introduction to essential oils, less is more. Essential Oils are highly concentrated. You need less than you think when diffusing, spraying or applying in a diluted state.

  • Sensory Adaptation may occur when we are exposed to the same scent for prolonged periods of time (i.e. diffusion, repeatedly applying to the skin, etc.). Essentially, we can become so used to a scent that we think it’s less potent than it actually is. Did you ever come across someone wearing too much cologne?  It’s likely that they may not realize it for this reason. This drives home our earlier point, less is more.

  • Do not take essential oils internally. We recognize that there some companies promoting the benefits of using essential oils orally. Don’t do it.

  • Avoid applying to your eye area and sensitive areas of the body. Our diffuser blends in particular are very concentrated, 100% pure therapeutic-quality essential oils and can pack quite a punch as far as potency.

  • Do not apply undiluted essential oils to the skin. If you do, it’s at your own risk of sensitivity.  This applies specifically to our diffuser blends.  Our rollerballs have been diluted with Jojoba Oil to allow for application to the skin (specifically inner wrists, temples and nape of neck).  Our Intention Sprays have also been diluted with an alcohol-free base and may be applied to the body.

  • As noted above, if you desire to use any of our 100% pure essential oil blends, it is necessary to dilute them prior to application. For that reason, we offer what are called ‘Carrier Oils’ to use as a base of which you can add our essential oil blends. The ratio of drops of essential oil to carrier oil is dependent on whether you’re just mixing up a little in the palm of your hand or if you’re putting together in a bottle.  Either way, our essential oil blends are pure and potent.  So, as stated before, less is more.  Click here to browse our Carrier Oils.

  • Some essential oils can cause photosensitivity. This is especially common (but not limited to) cold-pressed citrus oils. It’s best to avoid applying undiluted oils directly to the skin in general and especially when venturing out into the sunlight.  Speaking of sunlight, please wear an SPF everyday…even in winter.

  • Do not share your essential oils with young children and please keep out of their reach.
